I set an intention last year to really tune in to my Heart Technology, make no plans and see where it lead me this Summer. I was reminded of sacred Lake Waikareiti which has another island within it with sacred waters. It is one of NZ’s rare ‘lake within a lake’ near the beautiful Lake Waikaremoana, sacred to Ng?i T?hoe, Ng?ti Ruapani and Ng?ti Kahungunu tribes. The sacred waters of Lake Waikareiti was apparently the safe haven for women, children and elderly during the wars as tribes and government battled for the land and also where they sent soldiers to heal and process after battle. It’s off-grid surrounded by tonnes of ancient forest in Tu Erewa National Park. It was calling. I headed off into the wilderness on a spontaneous mission to this sacred lake. I heard about an overnight hike to the other end of the sacred lake Waikareiti at Sandy Bay and booked it the following day. Dinghies could not be booked due to ‘wind’ but when I saw them all chained up on the walk in, with no wind in sight, I asked spirit to tell me how to get to that sacred island. Sure enough when I arrived at Sandy Bay, I was told it could be done. A couple had found a way to ‘borrow’ a boat by pulling the whole post it was chained to into the dinghy! I left early the following morning determined to get to the island. When I arrived I saw how to do it and although they seemed padlocked, the shed with the lifejackets was in fact open, as was the access to the oars. So I ‘stole’ a boat for a few hours and rowed half an hour to the island, did an activations for my 12 Week Level Up Your 2021 Program at the sacred lake with frog an dragonfly medicine powerfully prominent. The frog is a symbol of transition and transformation, this spirit animal supports us in times of change. Dragonfly symbolises change, transformation, adaptability, and self-realisation.
